On our second week we stayed in Brooklyn.

This was the corner store a block away from the hostel. At night you can only get served through the window which is a bit awkward especially when there is a line of locals behind waiting to be served. One chap behind me started complaining that we were taking too long and asked for our change. Intimidated I gave it to him. Sucker tourist!

This memorial wall was just on the other side of the corner store. It took about a week for me to get the courage to take a photo of it. Even at night we were a little nervous about being seen.

We took the bus one day over Manhattan bridge which connects lower Manhattan with Brooklyn.

Here is a video I took traveling North over the Manhattan bridge. You can see the Brooklyn Bridge in the background and a train running along side us traveling to Manhattan:

Graffed up rooftops were a favourite of mine for sure.

Seven lanes of traffic and four train lines run across the Manhattan Bridge. It’s nicknamed the workhorse in comparison to the Brooklyn Bridge.
